Residential Construction

From 3 days to 3 hours: AI serving a construction contractor

The Challenge
A construction contractor produced estimates manually, without a common structure or reference to past projects. Each estimator worked differently, creating inconsistencies in pricing, terminology, and relationships with subcontractors. The time lost slowed growth and exposed the company to costly mistakes.
Key Challenges
Long, repetitive, and non-standardized estimating process
Variable terminology and formats from one estimator to another
No use of the history of past quotes
Negotiations with subcontractors without support from concrete data
Our Approach
After a diagnosis of their processes and their Office 365 environment, we identified Microsoft Copilot as the central lever. The approach was deployed in three phases: structuring historical quotes in SharePoint, configuring Copilot to understand the in-house terminology, then progressively onboarding teams to ensure genuine, lasting adoption.
Strategic Framework
Audit & structuring — Organizing and cleaning historical quotes in SharePoint as a knowledge base
Copilot integration — Configuration in the Office 365 suite to read, analyse, and propose consistent quote bases
Standardization — Creation of a common vocabulary and uniform templates across the entire team
Adoption & training — Support for estimators to integrate Copilot into their daily workflow
